De-escalation and Control Tactics: This course focuses on understanding and recognizing individuals in crisis (from a mental health perspective) , as well as how to intervene and implement de-escalation strategies. This course also teaches officers how to implement physical control techniques to control or escort an individual from the premises in a safe and effective manner, without endangering the subject or innocent bystanders.
Situational Awareness and Armed Response: This course is designed to build firearm proficiency and effective movement during the performance of duty / off duty encounters. Situations throughout this course focus on the purpose of protecting the lives of individuals involved in a critical incident while maintaining officer safety.
